ABOUT THIS EVENT

Compliance with BSA-related laws, rules, and regulations should be a top priority for every credit union. This program will cover the current issues in the examination process and the updated items your credit union must have in place in order to avoid regulatory problems.

Topics include:
Proper Risk Assessment and Documentation

Board Minutes – What to Add and What to Leave Out

Proper and Required Policies Including:

  • The Bank Secrecy Act including Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) and monitoring high and medium risk accounts
  • The USA Patriot Act and member/customer identification
  • Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR)
  • Anti-Money Laundering Policy
  • Office of Foreign Asset Control Act
  • Customer due diligence policies

Proper and Required Procedures Including:

  • Independent testing
  • Training for all applicable persons
  • Customer identification procedures
  • Designation of BSA officer and delegation issues
  • Internal controls and day-to-day monitoring
  • Sign posting

Documentation Standards on CTRs, SARs, and Signature Cards

BSA issues related to Shared Branching and Money Service Business (MSB's)

TUITION

Registration is $219 per attendee or $189 each for multiple attendees from the same credit union. To receive the multiple attendee discount, all registrations must be processed in the same order.

Small CU Discount:
CUs under $10 million in assets receive a 25% discount by entering promotion code 0925CU on the "Complete Checkout" page. Only one discount applies.

Affiliation with CUNA/League is required for attendance.

INSTRUCTORS


CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations received in writing (via fax 608-231-4327) seven or more days before the start of the program are eligible for a refund of the amount paid minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted if cancellation is received six days or less before a program begins. Substitutions are accepted anytime prior to the start of the program at no additional cost. Simply fax event and contact information, listing the new participant and who they will be replacing. Cancellation fees do not apply for free or complimentary programs.
