OPTIONAL EVENTS
HENRY HARBUCK MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Tuesday, June 10, 8:00 a.m., $150
For conference attendees and registered guests
With eight championship golf courses, Pinehurst Resort is one of the world’s finest golf
resorts. The focus of the Henry Harbuck Memorial Golf Tournament is networking rather than
competition. On the registration form you’ll be asked to indicate your choice of golf course
#4 or #5, your average score, and the names of individuals in your foursome. We’ll try to pair
you with the individuals you list; however we reserve the right to pair you with others if
necessary to create evenly matched teams.
Course #4, Tom Fazio, 2000
Site of the 2008 U.S. Amateur, this course offers a championship challenge to
those who dare, including over 140 pot bunkers that dot the landscape. It offers
some of the most picturesque scenes at Pinehurst, including the 13th and 14th
water holes.
Course #5, Ellis Maples, 1961
This course has more water hazards to negotiate than any other course at
Pinehurst. You’ll see a lot of variety in the layout -- uphill and downhill,
left-to-right, right-to-left, long and short par fours. It’s a very playable,
enjoyable 18-hole course.
